Tipsy Teacups Birthday Card

This card was made for CRAFT ROULETTE #284 whose parameters included a Funn fold card, birthday party colors, Maggie Smith element, and spiral (s) (ing). Today’s card uses The Greetery dies and stamps.

Watch the video below to see how this card was made.

Cardbase:  I started with a 4.25×11-inch rectangle of 100lb white cardstock that was scored and folded at 5.5-inches and 9-inches to form an A2 (4.25×5.5-inch) easel card.

Tipsy Teacups:Β  Watch the video above to see how the cups were created with stencils using pink ink and a gold marker. The tipsy mechanism is a strip with tracks cut into it for penny slider mechanism. I used Pear Blossom Press’s new Snap N’ Slide penny slider plastic pieces which are like snaps that you can use a glue dot to adhere to the back of the teacups.

Sentiments:  “Sip, Sip HOORAY! It’s your birthday” and Hopping your day is steeped in happiness” are both in the Brew-Tea-Ful Day stamp set. They are stamped onto striped, textured, thin cardstock cut with the larges and smallest of the A2 Stitched Scallops die set.

Envelope:  The back flap is stamped with “Life is Brew-TEA-ful” in brown ink.

A Reminder- Teacup of Flowers

This thinking of you card was based off of Karen Burniston’s May 2025 Virtual class card #2 which uses her Coffee Cup Pop-Up as the base for the pop-up teacup with elements from her Tea and Coffee Pop-Up, Tea and Coffee Borders and Flowers and Bee die sets.

Watch the assembly video to see how I made this card.

Cardbase: The cardbase is a 5×12-inch piece of double-sided Maja Designs cardstock folded in half to form a 5×6-inch top-fold card. Inside two decorative panels were added near the fold. Four pieces of blue ribbon were attached to the outside panels using double-sided tape. The teacup on the back panel is from the Tea and Coffee Borders die set.

Teacup Pop-Up: Watch the assembly video for the Coffee Cup Pop-Up located at the bottom of the linked page. Then watch the video above to see how I modified the construction of the teacup using elements from the Tea and Coffee Pop-Up and Flowers and Bee die sets.

Sentiments: The card front sentiment was stamped in blue ink using a Scrapbook.com stamp. Inside are Karen Burniston die cuts of β€œHappy Spring” and a fancy label for a personal message. The tiny die-cut hearts throughout the card were made with a die from the Tea and Coffee Borders set that cuts three hearts at a time.

Envelope: The card fits into an A7 (5x 7-inches) size envelope with a die-cut teapot from the Tea and Coffee Borders glued to the back flap.

Kindness Personified – A Thank You Card

This card was made using stamps and dies from the February 2025 Scrapbook and Cards With Love event. I designed this card before the event as a thank you card.

Cardbase: Β Cut a 8.5×5.5-inch rectangle from white cardstock. fold to make a side-fold A2 (4.25×5.5-inch) card base. Cut a 4.25×5.5-inch rectangle of white cardstock and emboss it using the brick stencil.

(Use the embossing sandwich for a die as recommended for your die cutting machine.) Then glue the brick panel to the front of card.

Coffee Cup:  Stamping the coffee cup on a lightweight white cardstock in red ink. Stamp the dots on the lower half of the cup also in red. Using a blending brush and stencils, color in the handle and shade the top, sides and bottom of the cup leaving most of the center white. Die cut out the cup. Adhere to card front using thin foam squares (or one layer of foam tape.)

Flowers:  Stamp the floral bouquet onto lightweight white cardstock and color using the stencil set and sponge daubers to color with Distress Inks. Die cut out the bouquet. Adhere to card front using thick foam dots (or two layers of foam tape.) Add highlights to the bouquet with a glitter gloss pen.

Sentiments:  Die cut the β€œYou are” from dark purple and its shadow from white. Glue together.  Stamp on the inside “kindness” in black and “made with love” on the card back in red.

Envelope:  The card fits into an A2 (4.24×5.5-inch) envelope with flowers stamped on the back flap.

Pop-Up Birthday Card for A Bookworm

It’s the Karen Burniston design team challenge for February 2025 using the theme of Bouquets. We were asked to make a card with a bouquet using some of the new Bouquet Bits and Flower Pot Add-ons. For this challenge I chose to make a birthday card for someone who enjoys reading. (You can see other bouquet pop-ups by clicking here.)

Watch the process video to see how I made this card.

Cardbase: The card base is made from a lightweight white cardstock measuring 5.5×8.5-inches and folded in half to for a side fold A2 (5.5×4.25-inch) card. I covered all four panels with library themed papers from Stamperia.

Pop-Up: For the brown pot of fern-like seedlings is made with the Flower Pot Pop-Up die set. (Follow the assembly video at the bottom of the linked page.)

Decorations: Tea and books often go together and the Tea and Coffee Borders set has both teapots and teacups. The green picks that the sentiment and books are attached to come from the Bouquet Bits die set. The green foliage pieces come from the Flower Pot Add-ons set. The books and bookworm are all from the Bookworm set.

Sentiments: The square stamped sentiments use the Photo Memories stamp set and the square dies to cut them out from the Photo Fan Pop-Up.

Envelope: The card fits into an A2 (4.25×5.5-inch) envelope. The same sentiment from the card front is stamped on the envelope back flap.
