Cloth Flower Birthday Card

This card was made for Craft Roulette #234 whose parameters included a 6×6-inch card, rainbow colors, single flower, and cloth.

Cardbase:  A 6 x 6 1/4-inch rectangle was scored to form a 1/4-inch tab on a 6×6-inch square. The tab was glued onto a 6×6-inch square of white glitter cardstock. Stamped/written on the card back is the “Inspired by Craft Roulette #234, made by SSK 2024” using the stamp from Craft Roulette’s The Basics stamp set. I drew three balloons above th

Sentiments:  I used the new stamp and dies from Craft Roulette – Funn Sentiments #001 for the outside die-cut “HBD” and inside stamped sentiments.

Envelope:  The card fits into a catalog (6×9-inch) size envelope that I drew balloons on to the back.

Birthday Cake Easel Card

Sentiments:  The “Happy Birthday” die cut comes from a papercrafting advent calendar purchased from Craftstash. I created a digital version of “Congrats on turning 29…Again!” and sized it to fit inside the Katherine Label die by Karen Burniston.

Envelope:  The card fits into an A2 (4.25x 5.5-inches) size envelope.

Some Merry Tree Holiday Cards

I had a rare Sunday afternoon to just play in my craft room and I made four of the same card, but each with a different version of the word “merry.” These cards were inspired by a card class that Meghann Andrew taught during the Scrapbook and Cards Today‘s Christmas in July – Jolly Holiday 2024 event.

Leave a comment letting me know which version of “merry” you like best.

I also stamped envelopes for the cards.

All cards and envelopes used stamps, stencils and dies from the event kit. I used the Stampin’ Up – Tranquil Tide and Simon Says Stamp – Surf Blue ink pads, Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend – Green Turquoise Blend Light, red and gold gel pens, gold metallic marker, Nuvo Glitter Paste – Moonstone, Nuvo- Glitter Gloss and some tiny gold gems and puff star stickers from my stash.

Seasons Change – A Pop-Up Card

It’s time for the September 2024 Karen Burniston Design Team Challenge with the theme of Seasons.

This card could be used for retirement, thinking of you, and encouragement depending on what extra sentiment is added to the card. Watch the tutorial video below. You may also want to watch the assembly video for the Square Spinner Pop-Up die located at the bottom of this linked page.

The cardbase is a purchase A7 size (5×7-inches) The inside decorative papers are 4 3/4 x 6 3/4-inches. The outside panels have a 5×7-inches base and a 4 1/2 x 6 1/2-inch topper. The front panels were sprayed with white ink on the blue cardstock and green mica on the green cardstock.

An Art Deco Birthday card

This card was made for Craft Roulette #230 whose parameters included shaped card, peacock colors, tall element and XOXO.

Cardbase: I made a side-fold A2 cardbase by folding a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2-inch rectangle in half and stenciled the front on a separate panel. The tiny gold gems where glued on as the last decoration.

Sentiments: The banner sentiments were made using the Spellbinders BetterPress letterpress system and Cheers to You press plates and dies. The inside of the card is blank for a personal message.

Envelope: Envelope flap was stenciled with the same stencil and inks.

Here are two more cards I made at the same time using the same inks and stencil sets, but different BetterPress press plate – Mistletoe Greetings. (“Merry everything” sentiment inside is from Scrapbook and Cards Today’s Jolly Holiday workshop kit.)
